My experience with Dr. Tanning and her staff was fantastic. From my consultation appointment to each checkup appointment, I left feeling like my thoughts and expectations were heard and acknowledged. When choosing the best fit for my breast augmentation, Tannan Plastic Surgery was a decision I would make time and time again. As part of my initial meeting with Dr. Tannan, she was extremely forthcoming in any and all information. It was refreshing to speak to a surgeon who was up to date on the literature and utilized the recently FDA-approved Motiva technology (that has been safely used for many years). She walked me through the entire process and was patient with me in my multiple visits to choose a size that fit my body. She never tried to persuade/pressure me to go with a size that wouldn't be proportional to my features.Her all-female team made this experience very comfortable and you are treated like an absolute queen every step of the way. Dr. Tannan is one of the best surgeons, hands down. Being a member of a surgical team based out of Columbia SC, it was paramount to me to find a surgeon who had my best interest at heart pertaing to my desired outcomes, while maintaining aseptic technique. I can’t express how much I love Dr Tannan and her entire team! I met with Dr Tannan 2 years ago as I began my personal wellness journey. I explained to her that I had lost myself after caring for a child with special needs for 20 years and she engaged with me like a friend. Since then, Dr Tannan, Kristie (RN), and Heather (Front Desk Coordinator) have become staples in my journey! I had lost 30 pounds on my own through lots of hard work but could not lose that last 20 pounds on my own. Dr Tannan suggested that I try semaglutide injections, which changed my life. Like many women I was not happy with the shape and volume of my breasts following pregnancy, breastfeeding, and the general aging process. I started researching breast augmentation 2 years ago and as I got more serious in my decision to go forward with having surgery, I did a consultation with a surgeon in Guilford county. Without having a reference point by which to gauge my experience, following that meeting I knew right off the bat he was not the right fit for me. It was impersonal and rushed. I spent most of the consult talking with a nurse. When the surgeon finally met with me I felt as if I was being pushed to a larger size that I did not feel comfortable with in order to avoid "being disappointed that I had not gone larger", but was not actually able to try any on to get a feel. Overall: disappointing.That is when I started looking for other options and found Dr. Tannan. Of course having an all female staff was a HUGE draw given the intimate nature of the decision. So, I scheduled the consultation and was more than pleased with the experience. First of all, you are greeted with a smiling face and are made to feel welcomed. The office itself is beautifully decorated: bright, clean, professional. Unlike my first consult, I spent most of that time talking with Dr. Tannan discussing options, trying on different sizes, and getting a tour of the surgical suite. Having a woman's perspective to really understand my goals was invaluable. It was the personal touch I was looking for, so I scheduled the surgery.I am now 2 months post op and could not be happier with the result! Dr. Tannan and her staff have been more than helpful throughout the process. I have felt supported the entire way whether it be answering my many questions leading up to and following the procedure or helping me understand my unique recovery timeline. I was given detailed, easy to follow instructions and the many resources on the website are great to have in your patient "toolbox" as well. Dr.Tannan performed my breast reduction surgery in May of 2024. Throughout the entire process, she has been amazing. From day one, I appreciated her validating my desire for the surgery. She knew I was desperate to be scheduled as soon as possible, as I had been trying to have the surgery for nearly two years (two failed attempts at having insurance cover it). She got me on her schedule within two months of my first consultation and I was on my way to a more happy me! The surgery went smoothly and though my recovery was not quite what any of us expected (a couple of wounds on my right side opened early on and struggled to close…not her fault, these things just happen sometimes), Dr. Tannan was always a wonderful listener and validated my feelings. She sent me to a wound care specialist almost immediately because she recognized her expertise would not be the best for my care. I truly appreciate this kind of self-awareness in a medical professional and am grateful to her for knowing where I could get the best wound care. My wounds are finally healed and my new breasts look AMAZING. She did an incredible job visualizing what I asked for and shaping them into the breasts I have always wanted. I am 52 y/o and have been going to Kristie at Dr. Tannan’s office for years. She is the absolute best with toxins and fillers. She is meticulous and gives a very natural result. Also, I had three Morpheus 8 treatments over the course of several months. Final results can be noticed at the six-month mark. My jawline is very much improved and the sagging skin at my neck has definitely tightened up. The treatment is a little painful, but definitely worth it as the results are fantastic! I consulted with Dr Tannan for a brow lift and upper blepharoplasty. I was looking for a caring female surgeon and that’s exactly what I found with Dr Tannan. She took the time to listen to my concerns as we discussed the procedures and options for the brow lift as well as her recommendations for the best outcomes. We discussed healing time, the support I would need, and long term expectations. She provided me with all of the information I needed to make my decision.I had a pre-op call with the anesthetist who also took the time to explain what I could expect and asked me a series of questions so she could provide me with the best care. I met with both Dr Tannan and the anesthetist as well as the nurse on the day of my surgery to go over everything and answer any final questions.The procedure went smoothly and I didn’t have any complications with the procedure or during the healing process. I followed their directions and, with a good neck support pillow for use while in my recliner, I was able to rest and heal.I’m now over a year post surgery and very satisfied with the results! My eyelids are no longer droopy and I don’t have that perpetual tired look. The scar is buried in my hairline and both my brow lift and bplepharoplasty have provided me with the results I was looking for. I highly recommend Dr Tannan and her all-female staff for the quality of work, as well as the consultative and caring approach they provide to each individual patient.

I had a fabulous experience at Tannan Plastic Surgery and Morpheus a few months ago. I am not easily swayed to do procedures and am skeptical with lasers. Kristie & Dr Tannan gave me a result I would go back for in a minute.Most people think Morpheus is painful but with Kristie, it wasn’t. They use a great numbing agent. I put off having breast reduction surgery for too many years until I found Dr.Tannan through a friend’s referral. In spite of my advanced age (77) Dr. Tannan was always so reassuring that it gave me the confidence to proceed. The entire process from consultation to post surgery has been an extremely positive experience. I could not be happier with the results. I feel years younger and more confident in the way I look and feel, whether it’s in the gym or at a party. Although health and fitness are important, don’t let age be the defining factor in your decision. I only wish that I had found this wonderful all female practice years ago.

Dr. Tannan is a lovely and skilled surgeon. For many years I carried daily embarrassment and frustration with my implants. I was young and didn't understand the trade-offs or impact it would have on my sense of self. Over time I saw multiple doctors looking for what to do next. Each time I'd hear the suggestion to keep the implants and go smaller I'd feel a deep sadness and not return. I didn't want to spend more money on something I didn't identify well with.Finally, I found Dr. Tannan - she was the first doctor I felt understood women like me. She gave me the confidence that I could return to my natural self and look more beautiful than ever. She was right! Dr. Tannan and her staff did a fantastic job from start to finish during my experience with them. They are friendly and warm and provide you with outstanding care. I had a tummy tuck done and the results are phenomenal. I had a 7cm muscle separation from having 3 kids and 2 of them being delivered by cesarean. She sewed my destroyed muscles back together and removed 4 pounds of excess skin and fat as well as performed flank liposuction. The level of detail and service they provide is above and beyond. They have exceeded all expectations. Look no further for a plastic surgeon Dr. Tannan is the best!

Before I decided to have my procedure, I researched tons of doctors. One of the reasons I chose Dr. Tannan is the all-female staff. Who knows a woman better than other women! She did not rush through my consultation or treat me as a dollar sign. She helped me understand exactly what happened to my body after having children and how to fix it. It was refreshing to have a doctor understand where you are coming from, as she is a mother as well. The communication from her staff is top notch. I had the most positive experience with Dr. Tannan for my breast reduction surgery. I found her by browsing for surgeons and looking at online before and after photos. I could see myself in her patients, which is something I hadn’t seen in 15 years of looking. I was inspired to call. The consult was simple, she is highly knowledgeable in her field, and is personable. The recovery was easier than anticipated and my scars are minimal (more minimal than anticipated). What started as a journey to get rid of my headaches and chronic back pain, turned into all that and an appearance that looks natural with amazing precision. I highly recommend her for your procedures.
