How does Morpheus8 Microneedling work? The microneedles penetrate your skin to stimulate your collagen, giving you a naturally fresh and youthful glow. Simultaneous precise radio frequency delivery into the deeper layers of skin contracts and tightens your tissues so there is less laxity and less sagging skin.

What is the Morpheus8 treatment like?

You should plan on spending about one and a half to two hours at our office for your Morpheus8 Microneedling treatment. This includes the 45 minutes that topical anesthetic (numbing) cream needs to work before we begin. We apply this to your areas on your face and neck being treated.

If we are treating areas on your body with Morpheus8 Microneedling, we will inject a dilute local anesthetic numbing solution under your skin to keep you comfortable during the procedure. After numbing with local anesthetic, we begin the treatment which takes about an hour. When we begin Morpheus8 Microneedling to your face or body, there should be minimal discomfort.

After the treatment, you may have some temporary redness on your face. Most people are able to return to work right after the treatment without any downtime. Certainly you are able to go back to your usual daily activities immediately following your treatment.

When can I expect to see results after Morpheus8 Microneedling?

Most people see noticeable differences as early as one week after Morpheus8 Microneedling. This improvement can be expected to continue and last for several months as the skin heals, collagen tightens, and your skin undergoes a regenerative process.

For patients with more melanin or olive skin (who enjoy a natural tan year-round), it can take longer to see your results. That is because to protect the pigmented layer of your skin, our expert injector has to make sure the settings are customized to you. We modify the treatment regimen and adapt the settings to your skin tone. This modification means that it will take 2-3 months to see your results when you have more pigment in your skin.

We recommend three to five Morpheus8 treatments spaced one month apart to enjoy maximum effect all year long. As this treatment works by stimulating tissues to regenerate, heal, and tighten, we tailor the treatment plan to suit your specific needs.

Microneedling vs Dermarolling: What’s the difference?

Morpheus8 microneedling with RF is done in the office setting where we numb your treatment areas (face and neck, belly, back, arm or thigh skin). We use a machine designed to deliver precise pulses at specific depths depending on the treatment location and target. We can target fat reduction with deeper penetration or use superficial channels for skin and surface improvement.

Dermarollers, often used at home, are simply not as powerful as microneedling techniques. As such, dermarollers struggle to treat areas around the eyes and mouth where most people have problematic wrinkles. There is typically a lot more tearing of skin, imprecise depth and inconsistent results with dermarollers.

Microneedling is sanitary, done in a medical office where we dispose of the needles after each use. The depth can be up to 8 mm and is precisely determined by our treatment provider. We deliver radiofrequency with each pulse, giving additional collagen and elastin stimulation and tightening. Dermarolling can go only about 1 to 1.5 mm deep and is not capable of additional radiofrequency delivery or deeper penetration.

How much does microneedling cost?

The cost for microneedling with Morpheus8 radiofrequency depends on the areas we treat and the number of treatments. To get maximum results, we recommend 3 visits for Morpheus8 treatments spaced out about 4-6 weeks, followed by annual treatments to maintain your results.
